Maybelline® Volum’ Express® The Rocket™ Waterproof Mascara $5.99

Welcome to the second adventure I put my lashes through.  I have had this mascara for a while now, and it is part of my daily routine, but I had never worn it alone until now!  I again bought this mascara from Target, but it was a little more expensive this time, but not much.  It was around $6, which is a very reasonable price for a bottle of mascara.  To apply the mascara, I first curl both of my lashes, put on one layer, wait a little bit, and then put on another layer.  I forgot to mention that in my other blog, so my bad.. but I didn’t forget this time!  My initial reaction was “AHH my lashes look clumpy!” but the more I looked at them, the less I felt that way.  This mascara gave me a long and thick lash look, which I enjoyed.  My eye lashes also stayed perky all day, never going flat.  I tend to find that waterproof mascaras stay locked in the position you apply them in, while it’s a gamble whether or not regular (non-waterproof) mascara will go flat.  I don’t have much to complain about dealing with this mascara.  The only thing that was slightly irritating was it was a little hard to get off of my face at the end of the day.  It was not any better, or worse than any other water proof mascaras I have used before though.

e.l.f Mineral Infused Mascara $3

First of all, welcome to my blog.  Prepare yourself for a journey for my lashes.  The first mascara I decided to test out was one I think almost everyone can afford.  E.l.f’s $3 Mineral Infused Mascara was put to the test.  I bought mine at Target and with tax and everything it was a whopping $3.22.  Let’s be honest, when you buy $3 mascara you really aren’t expecting much, but this mascara worked surprisingly well!  The brush is plastic and has several spikes that seem to grab the lashes and give you a full coverage look and feeling.  Another thing I really enjoyed about this mascara is the natural look it gave me; my lashes were even flexible.  And now, the cons…  At the beginning of the day my lashes were perky and curly, and by the end of the day they had relaxed, and sort of straightened out.  Also, as you may be able to see in the picture (the end of the day one), I had black under my eyes.  One of my least favorite things about this mascara was probably that it began to crumble a little towards the end of the day.  Overall, this mascara exceeded my expectations, and I would say this mascara produces lovely lashes for a substantial amount of time!  I don’t think I would use this in my every day look, but I would definitely use it as a “I don’t want to put on make up, but I have to” look!
